Linskill Centre is a large building comprising 10, 500m2 and attracts 10,000 visits per month. The Trust wants to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy costs and the centre's carbon footprint by installing new LED fittings throughout the building. The Trust has secured quotations from different three energy renewable suppliers to ensure value for money. Consultations with centre users have highlighted the unsatisfactory condition of the building, with 50% rating this as poor to satisfactory, and therefore the Trust is working on securing funding to improve the property.
This project will secure grant funding to:
- improve lighting quality and appearance throughout the building.
- reduce carbon footprint, energy bills and improve financial sustainability for existing and future generations
- raise the communities understanding of energy efficiency / renewables
